The Longest Day

The first reality TV series for and about pro photographers!

Twenty-four of the hottest photograhers in North America converge on Universal City for a “secret mission.” All they know is that it will be a project that will last 24 hours. They’ve come as far as Vancouver and Chattanooga, without a clue as to why. When they arrive, they find out that they’re being split into two teams. Each team is given 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit an original short film. Each team is also playing for one of two charities: Thirst Relief and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. In addition to their short films, they also have to to write, shoot, and edit an original PSA for their respective charity. Ultimately, YOU, the viewing audience will determine the winner, which will be announced at WPPI 2009.

I stumbled across this site and loved the content! I listened to many of the interviews and enjoyed hearing about the other creatives you showcased. I am excited to have joined the RSS feed and looking forward to hearing new interviews. I am unsure if there is something I could contribute to your site but would love the opportunity for an interview if you feel there is enough interesting content. I am a commercial photographer but also do fine art/mixed media and write. Feel free to browse here and the above photo site to find out about my work:

I love listening to your show. I am new to the photography business and find the interviews to be inspiring. I started by second shooting for a local photographer by the name of Tamara Lackey. Her studio has bee instrumental in my development. She has quite an amazing story and I think she would be a great candidate for an interview. She has a great book out on photographing children and plans on releasing a DVD soon. Her personal life is also inspiring she has adopted two beautiful children from 2 different countries. If you would like to view her website it is: http://www.tamaralackey.com. Thank you for creating your podcast. I find that when ever I get discouraged, listening to your show puts me back on my feet and pushes me on towards my dream of becoming a professional photographer.
