Episode 6: Rachel and Andrew Niesen

October 18, 2007

andrew_rachel.jpgWe follow up from last week’s episode of Mark and Erin Reed-Adams with an interview of their business partners. The second half of the LaCour Photo team are Andrew and Rachel Niesen. (FYI, Rachel’s maiden name LaCour is where the studio gets its moniker. And contrary to popular belief, la cour is French for the court not the heart.) In just four short years, this award-winning studio has gone from earning $2,000 per wedding to over $20,000 per wedding. Part of the studio’s success comes from the marketing savvy of this dynamic couple. But how do they work together as a husband and wife team? Does work interfere with their personal lives and what do they do to keep a balance? What is the story behind their courtship? These questions and others get answered in this fun, yet sometimes deep and philosophical interview.

Oh, and did you know that Andrew can sing?

Is it just me, or is Rachel the best thing since sliced bread? Goodness, the more I get to know her, the more amazing I think she is. LOVED this episode! 🙂

I think Andrew is the best thing since sliced bread! LOL!!! Seriously, you guys are such an inspiration. It’s fun to hear bits and pieces of your past, stories that some of us already know, and many that we didn’t know. Like Andrew shooting you from across the football field!!! That’s hilarious! And yet somehow I can totally see him doing that.

Ron, great stuff. We’re so excited you’re doing this. What a cool feature!

I love you guys more and more! It was awesome to hear you guys speak so openly about your faith, yet be vulnerable enough to share the downs as well as the ups. I enjoyed listening to the interview, as well as Erin and Mark’s too!

Chris and Katie shared this with me. What a neat opportunity to hear your realness, allowing me to know you a bit. Thanks for sharing your heart in the value of realtionships, with Christ, each other and friends. Keep pressing on to hold those values at the top!
